The Web 2.0 Upgrade Experience
Current mood: energetic

Web 2.0 Upgrade - Business Summary

What you are about to review is an Executive Summary of the Web 2.0 Upgrade Technologies, Business Model and Launch Plan. Prepare yourself as you will be completely taken back by the potential of what you are about to review; a company and technology that without question, simply through the nature and design of this technology, will completely take over the Internet. We obviously claim this at the risk of sounding absurd and/or crazy, we know. Though, once you understand the simple design and the actual function, you too will most certainly feel the same.

INTRODUCTION and OVERVIEW

An experienced and skilled technology, marketing and business team has teamed up on a project that is, as you will shortly realize, destined to become the next major Internet Technology Company.

The concept behind this new technology is a purely simplistic, yet BIG leap in Social Networking; a leap that advances what is called "Web 2.0" to a level of the complete saturation of the Internet with our technology, in essence upgrading the entire Internet to Web 2.0 Standards. Currently less than 5% of all websites on the Internet are considered to be Web 2.0 enabled.

Web 2.0...is a term that has become a "buzz-word" over the last couple of years due to the way that people have grown into using the internet. Web 2.0 does not refer to a software or hardware upgrade, rather in the manner that the web is now being used.

The Internet population has taken control over how the Internet has evolved. In the beginning, the Internet was an information resource with some limited forms of communicating (in comparison to Web 2.0 interactivity) and was seen as a new way to deliver information quickly and as a new form of transacting commerce.

Today it is certainly all of that and so much more. Web 2.0 is more commonly referred to as Social Networking and sites like mySpace, youTube, Flickr and several others have grown their user networks into the tens of millions to hundreds of millions of users in a very short period of time.

This trend reflects the users' desires to interact, to express and to participate in a dynamic manner in a world that once was simply static information. Now one can become completely interactive and directly involved in the content; becoming a part of the content creation through interaction. This is Web 2.0.

A good example of this is youTube.com, where members upload their own self-created videos and share them with the youTube community and the world through their free youTube membership, or mySpace.com where a free membership allows you to easily (and without html knowledge) set up a web site that has info about you, an interactive blog, photos, friends lists and more - and Flickr.com where you can build your own photo albums and share them "blog-style" with the world.

All of these companies and many others have become so popular that the large dot com empires are snatching them up at every opportunity that one of these new phenomenons shows any sort of success behind it. Success here is defined as the ability to grow (quickly) a very large user-base using what is called the "Freemium" business model. The term "Freemium" obviously means "free membership" with the opportunity to plug in different profit modules, included but not limited to advertising media.

As an example of the interest that the larger dot com empires have shown in these companies, Rupert Murdock bought mySpace for $580 million dollars (now a multi-BILLION dollar property). mySpace bought photobucket for $250 million in cash and an "earn-out" of an additional $50 million dollars. Google bought youTube for $1.65 billion dollars. These are just a few of the many recent examples of huge success stories created by this trend.

Even smaller "blog" sites are taking off in a big way and scoring big ticket offers from major media and dot com companies (to the tune of tens of millions of dollars).

There is a huge trend happening right before our eyes and young "garage techies" are building Social Networking platforms and making overnight fortunes.

Now, considering the fact that currently only less than 5% of all websites are considered Web 2.0 enabled (fully user interactive), and considering the scope of what is happening with those sites that do fully exploit this trend, think about what would happen if there were a technology that was developed that would instantly upgrade the ENTIRE INTERNET to Web 2.0 standards.

Let me clarify. This technology would actually create the same level of user interaction, the same functions and features as have become so popular on specific sites such as mySpace and youTube, and instantly add this level of interactivity to every site on the internet at a click of a button. Think about what kind of potential this company and technology would have.

This is true "Web 2.0" as defined by our industry - yet on a much grander scale.

We are proud to present the FULL Web 2.0 Upgrade Experience. A technology that Upgrades the ENTIRE INTERNET to Web 2.0 Standards - every site, every web address, all instantly upgraded with full user interaction implementing all of the popular Social Networking systems on each and every web site on the internet, all at a simple click of a button.

This...is the power of what we have been leading to. The potential is mind-numbing to say the least. Now, the big question is, "HOW - is this possible?"

THIS is our technology and the excitement that is driving this team. Let us explain this in a manner that will allow you to quickly understand how our technology works.

Currently, we will call the Internet that exists right now Web 1.0, which has a handful of sites that employ the Web 2.0 technologies (full user interaction).

This Web 1.0 is LAYER 1 in our example. Let's now add LAYER 2, a new LAYER that resides ON TOP OF LAYER 1 - a layer of content, functionality and interactivity that resides on this new layer and is "a part of" LAYER 1, though is a NEW LAYER because it HOLDS the content, the features and the interactivity of our Web 2.0 technologies.

In order to access this new Web 2.0 "layer", one only needs to "upgrade" their internet from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 by downloading our small software plug-in that adds this additional layer. Once installed, all websites, any address that they type into their browser now has all of the additional Web 2.0 features. Go to a Web 1.0 site for example: www.oldcars.com, and now you can start a blog, interact with other visitors, upload photos, rank the site and post your own experience with that site and/or company. This type of interactivity applies to ALL sites on the web with our New Web 2.0 Upgrade Technology!

The installation of our software opens up a completely new "Internet Experience" and is the FIRST solution that addresses the ability to actually upgrade the ENTIRE Internet to Web 2.0 Standards.

Now, you should be at the point of, where we mentioned at the opening of this document, complete awe in the face of the purely massive potential that this new technology holds for the company that properly employs it.

This brings us to our "Plan of Action" and the details of how we will be successfully launching these technologies on July 1st, 2008.

LAUNCH, GROWTH AND EXPOSURE - Plan of Saturation

Having this awesome technology is one thing, being able to employ it in a manner that creates overnight saturation is another.  This brings us to a common issue that many entrepreneurs face when pursuing a new Social Networking venture: "Users".  You can have the best features and hottest new gadgets for your Social Networking system, though if you do not have the "Users", it's not very "social".

There is nothing worse (for the users or the company launching the system) than joining a Social Networking community that has no members. In our research of Social Networking systems and what's on the cutting edge of Social Networking, we found many new sites and community concepts, yet most of them were worthless because they simply did not have any users. And even worse, from what we could tell, they had no clear-cut plan of how to build their membership.

They invest all of this time, money and effort into building their new, bright and shiny technologies and the few users that they do attract are completely discouraged from becoming active on their systems simply because there is no one to interact with.

So, it came to our attention that a major part of our plan would not just be a focuse on our technologies, rather, and equally important, a precise and extremely effective way to boost our membership into the tens of thousands of users even before we launched our technologies. But how could we pre-build a user-base without even having the technology in place?

Our creative and highly skilled marketing team went to work and designed a system that would allow, through the word-of-mouth aspect of "viral marketing", an affiliate program that would create a "Buzz" about the coming of a new technology and an opportunity to help spread the word before the launch.

The program would allow for the future compensation from the growth of the affiliate member's teams for those who helped spread the word of this opportunity. Done correctly, this can generate an organization of "pre-build" members who all eagerly await the launch of this technology.

As of the writing of this document, we have launched this "pre-build" system only a few weeks ago and already have over 20,000 people signed-up, anxious to download and actively promoting this opportunity - with 70 to 100 sign-ups coming in per hour. Our pre-build strategies are working as planned and we will have a well over 100,000 people ready to download our software by the time we launch our technologies.

The principles of this company have a strong background in the affiliate marketing arena; over 10 years of experience in building and operating affiliate programs, software systems and marketing tools, giving our team the advantage and ability to pre-build a user-base, anxiously awaiting our launch and actively promoting this launch to the world.

This is done all without a detailed disclosure of the technologies, thus allowing ample time for our team to develop and launch these technologies without a concern of competition beating us to the punch.

Further, if for any reason there was another development team creating something similar (from our research, it's unlikely at the moment), let's say that they launched their systems at the same time that we do - What team would have a better chance at success?  The team who launches these technologies, flips the switch and hopes for the best...or the team launching these technologies with an organization of tens of thousands of users eager to USE and SHARE this new technology from day one?

Once employed, our systems have several built in "viral marketing" components that continue the spread of our technologies in an exponential manner.

First, we are going into production of "high-quality" made-for-the-web TV commercials that are designed to be "viral" productions.  This simply means that the commercials promoting our technologies will be so entertaining that people simply cannot help but share them with others.

We already have loosely scripted concepts of "spoof" productions that will help us "infiltrate" the existing Social Networking communities by loading these videos to youTube and mySpace. This will allow us to "harvest" even more users from the already existing Social Networking communities.

This strategy in and by itself is so powerful and already a proven effective source of "viral" exposure with successful videos on youTube amassing hundreds of thousands to millions of hits and user views.

We have already discussed the "affiliate program" that allows a member to use our system to create an income.  As discussed above, Social Networking communities based on a "freemium" business model allow for the opportunity to plug-in various profit modules.  Our plan is to have the free basic user membership that gives all of the Web 2.0 features and functionality, while also having a "Pro" package for website owners that allows professional Web 2.0 Communications and Marketing Tools only available on Web 2.0 "Pro" enabled websites.

This will also help generate a large amount of exposure for our free Web 2.0 Internet Upgrade simply though our "Pro" user network.

For a nominal monthly fee a "Pro" member has access to tools that, for example, allow them to build a list of users, similar to a newsletter subscription email list, yet since it is Web 2.0 Technology, the updates, newsletters, and promotions that the website owner sends are delivered "directly to the users desktop" and not to their email.  We call this "Direct to Desktop Communications" and is only one of the features of the "Pro" package.

Further "Pro" package features will consist of lead generation systems, automatic follow-up systems, instant contact and interaction with users as they come onto their sites and more. The "Pro" users will help us continue the propagation of our technologies through the use of their Web 2.0 Pro tools, as all traffic to their sites are exposed to the Web 2.0 free upgrade opportunity.

Additional means of creating mass-exposure of the Web 2.0 upgrade will be through the users interaction.  As members use the system, certain activities automatically trigger notifications to individuals about the Web 2.0 Upgrade Technologies.

For example, when a user travels to a Web 1.0 site and opens a blog, posts a message or rates their site, our robot searches the domain for a contact link and sends the webmaster and/or site owner an email notice that activity has been posted about their site on the Web 2.0 platform and gives instructions on where to go to view this activity with an option to become a "blog moderator" for their own site on this platform.

A question has come up concerning our members posting comments and such on other peoples' sites without their permission.  "Is this legal?"  Yes.  We are not actually posting it "on" their site.  It's on the Web 2.0 platform and "free speech" allows anyone to start a conversation about any topic, website or person within reason and good-taste.  Our self-monitoring network ensures that any misuse of the system is properly policed, thus eliminating system abuse, slander, or any type of use that would be contradictory to our Terms of Use.

Another example of the "viral exposure" effect of our technologies is through the "Invite" and "Recommend" features of our software.  When users visit a website, they can recommend that site to other people outside of the Web 2.0 network of users.  They can also invite other users outside of the Web 2.0 network of users to join their friends list, participate in a blog, view other features such as photo-albums, etc., all exposing the Web 2.0 Internet Upgrade to more and more users outside of our network of users as our members use Web 2.0 Internet Upgrade.

Again, the design of this system is viral and perpetual in nature simply through the membership's use of the Web 2.0 systems.  Due to these features, and understanding that we are launching with an established user-base of tens of thousands of members, we expect to grow our membership into the millions of users in a very short period of time.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES / EXIT STRATEGY

As mentioned above, it seems that the average time for companies of this nature to be in a position to trigger interest in "buy-out" opportunities is 24 to 36 months.  Of course, this depends on the success of the business, as it would apply to the growth of the organization.

With companies like youTube and Photobucket growing their memberships into the hundreds of millions of users in a very short period of time, a technology that upgrades the entire internet to Web 2.0 standards, well, it would be reasonable to believe (in a perfect world) that we could achieve similar if not better results.

We may not live in a perfect world, though it certainly is NOT a stretch to believe that the magnitude of this concept surely holds the potential to bypass anything that has transpired to date in the world of Social Networking.

Also considering that youTube was purchased for $1.65 billion dollars, it's not hard to understand the massive potential for profit for this venture.

Our feelings are simply, we know that this has a lot of potential to do some wonderful things. We plan to dedicate every ounce of our talents, abilities and beings into creating as perfect of an environment as possible for this system to perform to the optimum of results.
